We understand that having life-limiting illness can impact on other areas of your life.
Our multi-disciplinary team and volunteers are experienced in supporting patients and families with the changing financial, practical, social and emotional aspects of illness. We have good links with other agencies and are able to signpost to relevant agencies if we cannot sort out a problem ourselves
Families can call us during our opening hours to discuss any concerns.
We subscribe to the Investors in Carers Scheme and will be happy to provide information and refer you, should you wish.
We are not able to offer formal counselling but are often able to help with individual problems within the holistic support we offer to patients, families and carers.
We are happy to arrange counselling for you with other agencies should you wish.
We offer monthly Carer Support days, where we invite carers to join us and other carers to share their experiences and discuss any issues of concern. Within this framework, we must respect the confidentiality wishes of the patient.
We can help to identify potential benefits available to patients and carers, explain the claims process and support people to complete their claims, help resolve housing difficulties, or help people to cope with loss and change.
