Grant funding received by Shalom House from charitable trusts and foundations is vital in enabling us to sustain the highest quality of care for our patients and those close to them. Grants help to support our clinical services, pay for much-needed equipment and help with the running costs of our palliative care centre.

We are very grateful to have received grants in the past for a wide range of purposes including the purchase of a new arjo bath, new energy efficient boilers for the Shalom House building and the core costs of the charity.

Whether large, one off awards or smaller, regular grants, all funding we receive from Trusts and Foundations helps towards the continuation of our services and the maintenance of the building in which we care for our patients and their loved ones. 

One of the core needs of Shalom House is revenue funding which pays for the day to day running of the organisation.  In 2020/21 it is expected to cost over £250,000 to run the charity and we rely heavily on voluntary donations from the local community to help towards this target.

With this in mind, we would love to hear from Trusts or Foundations that would be interested in supporting Shalom House current appeals including:

  • Refurbishment of our patient lounge
  • Makeover of our front and back gardens
  • Match funding for passenger vehicle, Driver and Health Care Assistant
  • Contribution towards nurse salaries
  • Core funding to support our day to day running costs
